Women 3.5 Doubles + Singles Tourney Official Details

Women 3.5 Doubles (Saturday, February 15)
3:15pm - 4:00pm: Check In and Warmup
Upon Arrival, please be sure to sign the waiver form and grab a printed off game schedule.
Feel free to warmup on any of the courts! Prior to stepping on the courts, please change your shoes in the lobby area.
4:00pm - 4:15pm: Meet In Lobby for Announcement
We will be sure to go over all of the rules, tournament format, and answer any questions during this time.
4:15pm - 6:00pm: 1st Stage of the Tournament - 7 'Group Play' Games
Your team will play against each of the other teams in what we consider "Group Play." Each matchup in the 1st Stage will be one game to 11, Win by 2, following standard USA Pickleball Rules. Typically, you would only play 5 or 6 games but since there are only 8 total teams in the Women 3.5 Division, we have enough time for you to play against all of the teams in the 1st Stage of the Tourney.
6:10pm - 6:15pm: Meet in Lobby for Announcement
Based on your performance in the 1st Stage of the Tournament, the top 2/3rds of teams will move on to the 2nd Stage of the Tournament. Performance will be based on Winning % First with Point Differential serving as the tiebreaker. We will announce the teams that move on during this time.
If your team is eliminated after the 1st Stage of the Tournament, you are still more than welcome to use the courts and play games against the other eliminated teams for fun! Please ask us what courts are available.
6:15pm - 7:45pm: 2nd Stage of the Tournament (IF YOUR TEAM ADVANCES) - Single Elimination Bracket
Each matchup in the 2nd Stage will be the best 2 out of 3 games with each game playing to 11, Win by 2, following standard USA Pickleball Rules.
FREE BONUS SINGLES (1v1) TOURNAMENT (Saturday, February 15)
7:00am - 8:10pm - Sign Up for the Event during this Time Frame!
This tournament is exclusive to players participating in a doubles event.
We will have clipboards laying out in the lobby representing each available division - Men Singles 4.0, Men Singles 3.5, Men Singles 3.0, Women Singles 4.0, Women Singles 3.5, and Women Singles 3.0.
Please write your name clearly on the clipboard of the division you would like to participate in.
To play in this free event, you MUST sign your name up on one of the clipboards BEFORE 8:10pm. We will be creating the brackets from 8:10pm - 8:25pm and will not be able to accept any late entries.
7:45pm - 8:25pm - Check In and Warmup!

8:25pm - 8:30pm - Listen to the Announcement
Once the brackets are ready, we will make an announcement!
If there are fewer than 4 teams in a division, we may have to condense divisions. If this happens, we will mention it in the announcement.
8:30pm - 10:30pm - Single Elimination Bracket
For each division, it will be a single elimination bracket.
If you get knocked out of the tournament early, feel free to stick around and use the open courts to play games for fun! Please ask us what courts are available.
Game Rules
All results will be inputted into DUPR within a week of the tournament ending.
After each game is finished, one member from the winning team MUST report the score to the Fusion Sports Team Member who will be at the concession stand located in the lobby area. If nobody reports your score, it will not be recorded.
If your team is not present 5 minutes after the time your team is supposed to play, this may result in your team forfeiting the game. This will give the other team an automatic win.
There is NO WARMUP before each game. Teams will have the opportunity to warmup prior to the start of their event.
Each team will have one 60 second timeout that they can use during the game at their discretion.
The serving team will decide which side of the court they would like to start on.
In the Single Elimination part of the tournament, the higher seed will have the choice of deciding whether they would like to serve first OR what side they would like to start out on.
After 6 points, teams will switch sides.
There are no line judges! It is the receiving teams responsibility to call a ball "out". In the case of an OBVIOUS rule violation, this call can be made by either team.
If there is a team that is being OBVIOUSLY dishonest in their calls, please report this to a Fusion Sports Team Member ASAP. The team being dishonest will be given a warning for their behavior and if it keeps happening, the team given the warning can be kicked out of the tournament.
Championship Game - Since the championship game will have money on the line, a Fusion Sports Team Member will be watching to make sure that both teams are playing fairly and has the ability to make or overturn any call made by the players.
No fighting or foul language will be tolerated. Please be respectful of your opponent and understand that we are all here to have fun😁
Other Important Points (Cash Prize Info, Facility Specifics, Etc.)
Cash Prize for Women Doubles 3.5 Winner - $400
This prize will be split among both partners and will only be awarded to the 1st place team in the Women 3.5 Division.
This prize $ amount is reduced from $500 due to the 12 team minimum not being reached. Thus, we lowered the cash prize proportionally but rounded up to the nearest hundred (8 out of 12 team minimum signed up).
Medals will be awarded to teams finishing in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place in each of the Double's Events and the Single's Events.

Game Ball - Franklin X-40

Facility Specifics - Impact Dynamic Training has 12 indoor courts that has a smooth polyurethane surface. Overall, it is a great facility and the ball bounces very much like a typical outdoor court surface. We will have custom dividers between all of the courts to prevent balls going into other courts.
Grip Spray for your shoes will be available. This will help make sure that your shoes have the best traction.
Make sure to bring plenty of food/snacks! If your team goes far in the tournament, you will be playing A LOT of pickleball
